June 2011
Helene Hagan, President of Tazzla Institute for Cultural Diversity, is publishing her third
book this month, titled "TAZZ'UNT, Ecology, Ritual and Social Order in the Tessawt Valley of the High Atlas
of Morocco" (118 pages, Xlibris). The book is available for purchase at amazon.com, barnes and noble.com, borderscom,
and through the web site of Xlibris.com.
Because writing and marketing a new
book take a great deal of time, the Fourth annual Amazigh film Festival will not take place in 2011. We apologize. Raising
funds for this festival is a full time job and Helene Hagan cannot research and write as well as solicit funds and prepare
a film festival at the same time. At age 72, she has selected to attend to several manuscripts awaiting publication.
A book of Poems and Essays will also be forthcoming in 2012-2013.
We
are still in the process of uploading a number of files and photos in order to give the viewer a more information,
articles, press releases, book reviews, etc...
Again all our apologies for
taking our time to renovate this web site. You can browse through the History of the Institute and the listing of Videos created
by Amazigh Video productions over the years. All programs were converted to dvds in 2009 and are now available in digital
format.
